What a great question! Not just for Whites but for ANY therapist. If you are like me, then your comfort level will rise or fall depending on how familiar you are with the culture your client represents. How does a Black client make you initially feel? A Native American? An Afghan? A Korean with a thick accent? Do you feel on guard, a pressure to not offend or to make mistakes? You are not alone!
